Hello again everybody,
Another wonderful round of presentations today, I thoroughly enjoyed them all.
Well done to Joanne, Ainsley, Yvonne, John and Jan who were all successful today.
The subjects covered today were as follows: Social Media and the effects on the young, CBT, Grief and effects on mental health / wellbeing, PTSD, Complex Trauma.
Again, some brilliant research, logical links in the talks, some personalisation, but lots of solid content to help scaffold all the fine content. Top drawer for the second week running.
"Tomorrow can be a new day", and today has been an excellent day.
Please note your thoughts below in the comments section, especially if you presented today and of course, if you were in the audience listening in.
Have a great week everybody and I look forward to the final seven talks next Tuesday.
Here's to a restful evening.
Mark
Very well done today. I imagine all of the talks today brought their emotional challenges, but I admired the professional approach from all presenters. The talks have been of a very good standard indeed, and are never a given, even with the strength of all the individuals within this group. A lot of hard work, attention to detail, structuring and taking pride in getting the messages out in your talks have been contributing factors to the success so far. Well done and here's to next week too. Mark
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed all the presentations again this week just like I did last week, learning new topics that others hold dear is always one off my favourite things as you can visually see and hear the passion people feel about their chosen subjects even beneath any nerves they've displayed. As much as I feel Im a confident speaker I still get nervous prior to presenting a talk but after only a few seconds I felt comfortable especially looking up at all your lovely faces.
ReplyDeleteYou're a top man John, really enjoyed your talk, very well done. Yes, the "performing edge" as I call it keeps us all on our toes when we move out out of our comfort zone or do something we might not normally do. Passion was most definitely in view today, as it was last week. I think there must have been a fair bit of dust flying around everybody's rooms given the reactions at the end! This is why I am an educator and will remain one for many years to come I hope. This is dynamic learning in action and all of you should be applauded. Have a lovely evening John, you did a great job today, make no mistake. Mark
