The purpose of this blog is to keep a record of our learning as we progress throughout the year. My aim is to write a brief summary and reflection of each lesson. I will also add in some links to news stories that I feel could be of interest to the group. Please use your blog to communicate with me and the rest of the class.

This might be a bit random but I met a lady once who had a "Whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger" tattoo on her shoulder. I know that people do say that but I really wanted to ask her what it was that didn't kill her. I didn't know her well enough to ask. She looked a very hard person and I think her demeanour was a defence against others. I am not sure it made her stronger but it certainly made her more defensive. Most people don't tattoo the words on their bodies but the expression they wear on their face tells you something about their experiences. So body language is in that respect really is wearing words on our bodies.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comments 'Unknown', I really enjoyed the way you segued into your thoughts. Not so random I don't think, and interesting too. Expression and body language will be something we consider next week when we examine the nuts and bolts of presentation delivery. All the best and keep the comments flowing. Mark

ReplyDeleteBut on a serious note though I found this interesting as I've no doubt a lot off people would rethink their vocabulary as not to offend others?
It certainly poses a question doesn't it?
